Wild Medicine Diary
Hollyhock (kind of wild, here anyway)
I’m standing at the top of a hill on an ancient market place, in a place of human settlement reaching far, far back into prehistory. The road ahead is flanked by two 600 year old sentinels, their upright presence guiding the eye between and down to the timber-framed houses and the rolling Suffolk hills beyond. Halfway down is my home, as old as any other around here, beautiful, although unexceptional for this place. It can be enchanting here. Perhaps it is enchanted, the old walls holding the secrets of so many gone before us, so many with stories they took back with them to the well of eternal spirit.
